Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Rich and I had a fantastic time on our Scandi Adventure. Copenhagen and Stockholm have got us in the mood for Christmas and we are now hoping for a white Christmas and to be snowed in on at the top of this hill to be able to make the most of this long festive period at home in Godalming.

We especially enjoyed Copenhagen and thank you to student Elisabet for all the tips that you sent us.  Rosenborg Slot, the Dutch Renaissance Royal castle was a real treat.  The castle housed some beautiful jewels and some stunning embroideries. One of the treasures that I fell in love with was the Royal Saddle dating from 1596 that was encrusted in Applique Goldwork with pearls and precious jewels. All of which were hand embroidered in the most sumptuous goldwork techniques.
